Week 2 Raising a Reader Lesson: Why are Books Important?

  • by

Hi Fun Van families!

Take some time to watch this Raising a Reader lesson, as Miss Kat and Miss A.J. talk about the importance of reading with our children. We are still a little new to these video lessons so please forgive the sideways video, and be sure to share your thoughts below.

  1. Amazing explanation of baby’s brain! Thanks to fun van, we have many books with the touch n feel books. My kids love them. I’ll have to get the books that can be put in mouth because my 2 year old still puts everything in her mouth!

    1. Thank you, Jessica! Another tip for kiddos who like to put things in their mouths is to read books while they are sitting at the table eating a snack or meal. It’s a great time to read a story because their hands and mouths are busy. But Indestructible Books are the best!!

  2. It is amazing to me how much my kids absorb before they could even talk. and the younger you start with your kids reading I feel like the sooner they realize the magic of it too.
