History of the Internet

The Internet has a long history behind it. Initial development started back in the1960's and was used primarily for research purposes. The Internet we have come to know today was made available in 1990-1991 when the world-wide web was developed. Since that time, almost every major corporation, small businesses, schools and even some individuals have established a website on the Internet.
