Computer Classes

The Apache Junction Public Library is proud to offer a variety of entry and advanced level computer classes covering some of the most popular areas of computer usage.

Difficulty Level: All classes are designed for users with very little or no experience.


Classes & Descriptions:

 

Basic E-mail
Using Yahoo! Mail (a free e-mail provider), participants will learn how to open an e-mail account. They will learn the basic functions of the account and how to send and receive e-mail to each other as practice. If you already know how to send and receive e-mail, this class may be too basic for you.
Prerequisite:
Registration and ability to use a mouse are required


Basic Internet
Participants are introduced to the basics of the computer. Participants do a subject search and learn how to narrow it. They are also shown how to get to a specific website address. If time allows, they may also start on a search of interest to them. Participants will also learn how to evaluate website information plus save and print web pages.
Prerequisite:  Registration and use of a mouse are required


eBayeeBeeeeeeeeay
Using eBay, the popular online auction site, students learn the basics of establishing an account, searching for items, bidding and selling items. Students will also learn valuable security tips and precautions.
Prerequisite:
Registration and ability to use a mouse are required


Microsoft Word 2007
Participants are introduced to the basics of word processing with Word 2007. They learn how to use the Ribbon and make formatting changes to a document. If time allows, a question/answer time at the end.
Prerequisite: Registration and ability to use a mouse are required

Self paced introduction to using a computer and navigating the computer.  Please register, no other requirements necessary for this class
