The Apache Junction Public Library is proud to offer a variety of computer classes covering some of the most popular areas of computer usage.

Difficulty Level:  Basic to intermediate.

Beginner PC Skills Classes

Wednesdays 10am-11am

Windows 7 Basics:  Explore desktop, start menu, taskbar.

Email Basics: (Participant needs to have an existing email account prior to attending class) Create a new email, send, read, and use contacts.

Internet Basics:  Browsing, effective searching, using different search engines, save favorite sites, and history.

Pictures Basics: Participants will learn how to use a card reader, Paint to re-size pictures, and access external devices.

Craigslist: Learn how to create an account and general search of website.

Intermediate PC Skills Classes

Thursdays 11am to 12pm

Windows 7:  Windows 7 Screen, personalize desktop, create folders and sub-folders, windows explorer screen, working with files, and side by side view.

Email: (Participant needs to have an existing email account prior to attending class) Manage mail, send an attachment.

Internet:  Parts of a web page, using accelerators, change/set your homepage, open tabs, save/copy/print from the web, create a shortcut, save/sort favorite, restore previous session, and history.

MS Word: Participants will create a simple flyer using the various tool bars and menus.

 

MS Excel:  Create a simple spreadsheet.  Learn functions, format text, insert formulas and explore a variety of projects.
